Demand Takt Time

Calculate the good-part pace a demand window requires and express it as takt time and parts per hour.

Example starting values are prefilled to demonstrate the calculation. Replace them with your measured, quoted, or job-specific inputs before relying on a result.

Range: at least 0.001

Enter net time available to mold during the demand interval. Exclude breaks or planned stops if they are outside your plant's takt-time convention; choose the unit below.

Defaults to hours for shift-level planning. Time is converted internally to seconds.

Range: at least 1 parts

Enter the whole-number customer demand for accepted good parts during the same production interval.

Interpretation and limits
Takt is the net available production time per required good part. Compare it with a capacity estimate based on full cycle time, active cavities, expected yield, and runtime efficiency; do not treat takt itself as a machine cycle or guaranteed output. The comparison must use the same product and time scope.
