Machine Energy Use and Cost

Estimate metered energy use, electricity cost, and running-hour cost from measured power and runtime.

Example starting values are prefilled to demonstrate the calculation. Replace them with your measured, quoted, or job-specific inputs before relying on a result.

Inputs

Inputs

Range: at least 0 kW

Use average measured real electrical power across the equipment boundary of interest (press only or press plus auxiliaries). Record that boundary consistently.

Range: at least 0 h

Enter elapsed run time in hours over which the average measured power applies. Zero is allowed.

Range: at least 0 USD/kWh

Enter the energy-only price in USD/kWh, or an explicitly chosen blended rate. Demand charges and fixed monthly fees are not separately modeled.

Meter scope and cost limits
Energy and cost reflect only the entered average power, runtime, and energy rate. Results depend on meter scope; separately include dryers, chillers, pumps, robots, and other auxiliaries if they belong in the estimate. Demand charges and fixed fees are not calculated unless embedded in the entered rate.
