Injection Unit Shot Utilization and Capacity Check
Compare a molded shot with the injection unit rating to see how much shot capacity remains.
Example starting values are prefilled to demonstrate the calculation. Replace them with your measured, quoted, or job-specific inputs before relying on a result.
Result
Remaining rated capacity (lb)
0.0120
Injection-unit mass utilization
0.80
Within entered rated mass capacity
Machine-fit limitation
Utilization compares required molded-shot mass with the entered rated capacity. “Within capacity” only means the mass comparison passes; confirm resin-specific shot-size convention, screw/barrel geometry, cushion, recovery time, injection pressure, and the machine manufacturer’s operating guidance separately.
