Injection Molding OEE

Combine availability, performance, and quality into an OEE view for a molding shift or production period.

Example starting values are prefilled to demonstrate the calculation. Replace them with your measured, quoted, or job-specific inputs before relying on a result.

Inputs

Inputs

Range: 0–100 %

Use one consistent shift basis; a common definition is run time ÷ planned production time. Define in advance whether setup, breaks, planned maintenance, and no-demand time are included in planned production time.

Range: at least 0 %

Use actual production relative to ideal output during run time, based on the same part mix and ideal cycle basis. No hard maximum is imposed; a value above 100% can signal an incorrect ideal cycle/count basis and will be flagged in the result.

Range: 0–100 %

Use first-pass good count ÷ total produced count for the same period and product scope. Decide consistently how rework and startup scrap are counted.

Injection Molding OEE (%)
83.790
Calculated OEE is within 0–100%
Interpretation and limits
OEE is the product of the three entered percentage factors after conversion to fractions. Review availability, performance, and quality definitions together before comparing shifts, presses, or sites. A result over 100% is a data/ideal-rate review signal, not a target or machine capability. OEE is a loss indicator, not a guaranteed production rate or compliance result.
